6 July 1896 — Villa Mier, Belluno | |
Monday. 6th [July 1896]. Breakfast at 8. Read Dante. Wrote letters. Copied Cortelazzo till 5—stopping just for lunch. Weather fine but hot. After tea took a walk on the way to Salce & a peasant woman showed me the Eden’s house in the distance. Home by dinner. Read, played patience in evening. | |
