9 August 1896 — Villa Mier, Belluno | |
Sunday. 9th [August 1896]. Breakfast at 8 & got up late. Wrote letters. Lunch at 12. Read the service to the household at 2. After tea Sophy & I took a walk to Salce & back. Just as we got home it began to rain hard. Sophy read Gibbon aloud in eveng. | |
