28 August 1896 — Palazzo Barbaro, Venice | |
Friday. 28th [August 1896]. Typed in the morning. Weather still threatening & stormy. Mr Curtis took Sophy & me for a row before dinner & we went to their garden & brought Mrs Curtis home. They have a garden on the Giudecca– After dinner we took leave of the Curtis & went home to Ca’ Capello. As I am not well I am glad to be at home again. The servants came down from Villa Mier today. | |
