17 September 1896 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 17th [September 1896]. Typed as usual all morning. Went out after tea called on Aspasie & saw her for a few moments but had a very bad account of poor Olga & then on in sandolo to the Lido. There I landed at S. Elisabetta—& walked to Quattro Fontane—& got into the sandolo there to come home. There was a beautiful sunset & the moon was up before I got home just in time for dinner. | |
