Wednesday. 13th [January 1897]. I walked to 33 Grosvenor Road from here to luncheon with Freda Biddulph & Sophy Palmer. Afterwards Sophy & I went to St Margaret’s Westr to meet Mr Powell about putting up a small memorial to Henry’s memory there. We chose a spot & discussed the inscription, ornaments &c. From there I took Sophy to see some of her friends & then took her back to her sister & returned home at 5. Eda Alderson came up from Lutterworth to stay with me. Louis Du Cane came to call. Eda & I corrected Henry’s MS together in evening. | |
