16 January 1897 — 3 Savile Row
Saturday. 16th [January 1897]. I had the carriage out in the morning & Eda drove out with me. We went to S. Crescent Bedford Sqr & I called on Mrs Hills & she accompanied us out driving. I went to see Maria to tell her that Dr Edgelow whom I saw this morng says he thinks if she will let him take her in hand, that he can do her good. She consented to see him. We went on to Wimborne house that I might talk to Ivor abt Miss Oswell’s typewriting of our mother’s journal. Returned home for luncheon. Miss Oswell came to go on correcting from Henry’s MS. We were interrupted by 2 visits but she stayed to dinner & we got through a good deal. Eda & Nela went to a Sat. Pop Concert together.
