24 March 1897 — Lutterworth
Wednesday. 24th [March 1897]. Eda took me to see the stocking manufactory in the town. It is very interesting—all done by machinery. The girls who work in it are all friends of Eda’s. After lunch I left Lutterworth taking Mary to London with me. We drove to Rugby accompanied by Eda to catch the 4.40 train to London. Eda returned home. Mary & I reached London soon after 6. On the way from the station we stopped in Cav. Sqr to see Blanche. She was not in & we found Olwen has the measles so we did not remain there. Nellie dined with us.
