25 March 1897 — 3 Savile Row | |
Thursday. 25th [March 1897]. In the studio all morning. Took the 2 Alderson girls to the christening of the Hallam Murray baby at Westminster Abbey. She was christened in Henry VII chapel by Canon Gore. Virginia Du Cane, Canon Gore & I were sponsors. Afterwards Mary went with her Du Cane cousins to a concert & Nellie & I drove to call on Mrs Post & to ask if her husband would give Mary some singing lessons. We saw Mrs Post & she said she would ask. Returned home for 5 o’cl tea. Mr Fraser called & found Nellie & me arranging this drawing room for the summer season. | |
