2 April 1897 — 3 Savile Row
Friday. 2nd [April 1897]. Woke to find it snowing & it is very cold. Worked in the studio. In afternoon I walked with Nellie & Mary shopping. Blanche & little Gwenydd came to lunch. Monty returned from abroad while we were at dinner having been absent since Christmas. He showed us photos he had taken when passing Crete in his yacht & one sees the burning smoke &c from the war & insurrection. Mary dined with the Thesigers & Nellie & I worked at correcting the type written copy of Henrys MS & completed our task.
