19 April 1897 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny | |
Monday. 19th [April 1897]. Onie came into my bed soon after 7 & read to me till time to dress– Mr Kean from the estate office who is going to help to sing nigger songs at the concert on Friday came up to this house to have a rehearsal– There was also a great deal of various practising on all parts. I also helped Vere to paint a large notice for the concert to be posted up in the village. A pouring wet day & I did not go out at all. | |
