18 April 1897 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny
Sunday. 18th [April 1897]. Easter Sunday. We went to morning service at 11. The singing was good & the Anthem went well. This was the first really fine day we have had. After lunch Irène read aloud to Blanche & me—& then we walked off to the 4 oclock service & were home to 5 o’cl tea. Blanche & I read over some more of the MSS. I wrote some letters before dinner. In the evening we did games & sang hymns.
