29 May 1897 — 3 Savile Row
Saturday. 29th [May 1897]. Woke with headache after a bad night. Nela Du Cane came—also my sister Blanche—& Mrs Willy Hanson. Sir Arthur & Miss Birch came at 10.30 that I might show them the house as they want to decorate their house (the rooms over Bank of England) & wished to see what I had done– Mary returned home today. Nela accompanied me to the Waterloo station & I & Nelly left by 12.30 train for Wareham. My brother Arthur joined us at Bournemouth & we went to Bere Regis. Arrived there at 5 had tea. Went out with Arthur to look at the flowers & hot houses– Dinner at 8.12. In the evening Arthur offered to take me to see the Jubilee Naval Review. I am to think it over & see about it.
