27 October 1897 — Villa Pisani, Vescovana | |
Wednesday. 27th [October 1897]. Still lovely weather & no frost. Directly after our lunch old Countess Memma Venier nata Morosini came to call & sat talking till past four. Then Nela & I went off for a short walk along the S. Caterina Canal & came home for 5 o’cl tea– Read aloud some of Christina Rossetti’s poems. | |
