2 December 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 2nd [December 1897]. A pouring wet day & half a gale of wind. I painted in the morning. Nela went out walking with the kitchen maid in the rain. We had a long visit from Baron Haan who came at 4.30 & remained till 6! Dined at 8. Read aloud & worked in the evening. | |
