22 December 1897 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 22nd [December 1897]. Nela & I left Venice by 9.45 train for Stanghella to stay at Vescovana with Css Pisani. We arrived there abt 12. Found Marchese A. & Marchesa Olga Guiccioli & Marchese Bentivoglio staying at Vescovana & arrived there just in time for lunch. It was lovely bright cold weather. At 3 Nela & I took a walk with Marchese Bentivoglio along the Sa Caterina Canal– Home to tea at 5. Dined abt 7.30. Bed at 10– D. Antonio came to dinner as usual. | |
