Friday. 21st [January 1898]. Pasquale still worse & sent for the Dr who says he has bronchitis & Influenza– We went out after luncheon to see Ersilia Canevaro in her new apartment at Palazzo Clary on the Zattere. She received us very pleasantly. I was feeling very depressed & worried about my brother Arthur whom Nellie writes is ill & having been ailing since before Christmas is laid up in London still. I wish I were there. She says I need not be alarmed & promises to write again. | |
