26 March 1898 — 3 Savile Row
Saturday. 26th [March 1898]. Still wet & sleet now & then. I went out in the morning in search of a soft white shawl to give to Arthur. At 2.30 I walked in the rain to Half Moon Street to give it to him. Sat a short time with him & while I was there Onie & Irène Ponsonby called & carried me off with them in their carriage to Park Crescent to see Maria. Onie & I went in to see her & had tea & went in a cab to 17 Cav. Sqr where I stayed to lunch.
