12 November 1898 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 12th [November 1898]. Began to copy my picture of the Annunciation by Gaudenzio Ferrari. Dr Cini came & put me on a new medicine as he thinks I have slight indications of kidney mischief– Mme Wiel came to luncheon. She is arranging her new apartment in Campo S. Polo close by & it is convenient to her to get a comfortable meal here. Afterwards Augusta G. & I went to the Eden garden & found Carry alone & she dug up a lot of baby palm trees for me to bring home to grow. We walked home from the Accademia via the Frari– | |
