18 December 1898 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 18th [December 1898]. I went to church in the morning & took Iduna Bel. & then she & I went to the Piazza & I bought a china duck for a Ch. present for Css Pisani & a Delft vase for the Edens– I then went on to lunch with the Egertons at Danieli’s & as it was a lovely day I took the Dss in my gondola to the Lido & we went to sit on the sands a little while & then came home early. | |
