1 June 1899 — 3 Savile Row
Thursday. 1st June [1899]. At last we have got summer weather. Had a visit after lunch from Alice Murray. At 3.30 Lady Vivian came. I consigned to her the pearl necklace from Missiaglia’s that she had asked me to send for on approval. Went for a drive with her & returned home to tea. Went on foot to see Blanche who has a cold & was ailing. Came back part of the way in the carriage with Irène who was dining out & gave me a lift. Dined alone– Bed early.
