4 June 1899 — 3 Savile Row
Sunday. 4th June [1899]. Went to service at the German Chapel at 10 & then went out no more all day. It was very hot & close weather. Had a visit from Mr Herbert Thompson—later from Dr Bond. Nellie had tea with me at 5—& then went out to see Lady Humphery. She came home at 7 & said the Humpherys wished we should go & dine there which we did. We walked to Bruton Street together & walked back at 10.30.
