4 August 1899 — Plombières | |
Friday. 4th [August 1899]. Passed in the same way—but at 5 oclock there was beginning of a thunderstorm– Nela read Boswell’s Johnson to me in the afternoon. The few drops of rain we had cleared the electricity & cooled the air a bit– Lionel & I walked to the source Stanislas & back before dinner. Patience in eveng. | |
