2 September 1899 — Grindelwald | |
Saturday. [2nd September 1899]. Sat up in the “Green parlour” under the fir trees all the morning reading Boswell & working. Rain threatened in the afternoon—the weather changed suddenly. Went for a walk in evening before dinner. A thunderstorm while we were at dinner put out the electric light in the dining room for a few minutes. | |
