3 September 1899 — Grindelwald | |
Sunday. 3rd September [1899]. Went to church in the morning. A long weary sermon on Charity which made us feel very uncharitable. Met Miss Durand (my neighbour at table d’hôte luncheon) who invited us to go to her room to see sketches she did once at Venice. She & her mother Lady Durand live here nearly all the year round. | |
