21 September 1899 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 21st [September 1899]. The whole Alderson family spent the morning at St Mark’s seeing over the whole building inside & out with Signor Paccardo who kindly conducted them. They only got back in time for lunch after which we all went to the Lido, some in gondola, some by steamer. The young people bathed at St Elisabetta & then joined us at Quattro Fontane. We took the tea basket with us & had tea on the sands. | |
