4 November 1899 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 4th [November 1899]. Got up for lunch & am now quite rested. Went in gondola to call on Mrs Christie. They live at Pal. Antonelli near the Misericordia—& they have a small apartment & too far from the Church. I was walking home part of the way when Mrs Curtis met me—stopped her gondola & took me in & came to tea with me. | |
