Wednesday. 3rd [October 1900]. My English servants arrived from London and we began to feel settled at last—though with the help of Eda who assisted Regina in the kitchen we had fared well– The Du Canes went to tea with Mr & Mrs Christie this afternoon & when Eda & I went later to the Piazza we met them there. | |
