4 October 1900 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 4th October [1900]. Eda, Nela & I lunched with Mrs Christie & met Iduna Belmondo there. Came home at 3. At 4.30 had a little tea party at home– Lady M. Currie, Mrs Balfour, the Christies, Curtis (who brought a Signor Placci), Miss Holland, Countess Corah Brazzà & Mme de Blumer—all came & had tea & talked to their hearts content. It was a lovely evening– Mr Augustus Montalba who has just arrived in Venice came to see me after dinner & sat chatting till bed time. Some of the girls went out in gondola. | |
