10 October 1900 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 10th [October 1900]. The girls made an expedition to Chioggia with Mrs Browning which took them the whole day. I went out after lunch to shop—at Rietti’s I found 2 more big brass candlesticks like those I bought last year for our church here, & I secured them for the church. At my request the Princess of Wales & the Empress Frederick of Germany have each presented one to the church. | |
