28 November 1900 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 28th [November 1900]. Another lovely day. Modelled all morning. Olga Mocenigo came in morning to enquire about Maria. I could only give her the same sad answer. She fell into ecstasies over the little figure I am modelling in way wh pleased her immensely. Sr Trombini called also. The gondola having gone to the squero to be cleaned Gertie & I walked over the Rialto to the Edens to pay them a visit at 4 oclock & were fetched home by our gondola. Gertie & I dined at 7 & at 8 went to the Sailor’s Institute to a concert of the men. I sang the solos of “Molly Darling” & “Some Folks” & they joined me in the chorus. There were some good voices & a full attendance. We left about 10 oclock.
