30 December 1900 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 30th [December 1900]. Went to morning service & took Iduna with me. A rather foggy day. Wrote letters– Not out in afternoon. Visit from Baronne de Pury wife of a Swiss who came to tea. I went to service at the Sailor’s Institute. A good many men there. Mr Christie gave the address & walked home with me afterwards & sat with me while I dined leaving abt 10 when I went to bed. Mr Williamson lunched with me today. | |
