3 January 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Thursday. 3rd January [1901]. Modelled—& copied picture for my catalogue nearly all day– It was bitterly cold & not inviting out of doors I went out for an hour only & came home by 4 when I had the 2 little Hulton girls to tea & also Baroness von Haans girl Mirès. They came with their fathers, both the Baroness & Mrs Hulton being laid up with the cold. Mme Bompard who was expected also with her girl did not come. Had a visit from Trombini & then at 7 o’cl I went off to bed having a headache from the great cold & threatened snow.
