Thursday. 7th [February 1901]. Another wretched day & no going out. Mr Guggenheim brought his girls in the morning to see me & insisted on showing them all my various works. I modelled all day long. In the evening practised guitar & wrote letters. The English newspapers all these days have been full of descriptions of the beloved Queen’s funeral—& now it is all over! | |
