22 July 1901 — 3 Savile Row
Monday. 22nd [July 1901]. Ancle nearly well but I am still careful of it & kept it up much & Burton visited it. Connie came to lunch. She asked me if she might take the formula I have used for the tablet to Henry “I pray you remember” for one to Charlie. I was vexed & refused but I think I was stupid & I am going to write & consent since she cares for it. Blanche & Irène & Vere came to tea– It was very hot day. Nellie left at 8. for Hatfield. I drove at 6.30. There was a heavy shower which cooled the air. I dined at Cav. Sqr with Irène & Duncannon– Blanche & Vere went off to the Opera together.
