26 October 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 26th [October 1901]. Emilia & I arranged the ground floor rooms for Mr Somerset Beaumont & his niece & then after lunch I went to the station in gondola to meet them. They arrived from Milan at about 2.30 & happily it was a lovely afternoon & brilliant sunshine. After bringing them here & showing them their rooms I took them out for a row & again we went out in the evening for a row by moonlight to Verona Brooke’s delight. | |
