27 October 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 27th October [1901]. I went to morning service at 10.30 accompanied by Verona & we afterwards met Emilia Riaño in the Academy & had a look at the pictures. After lunch we went to the Eden’s garden which was looking lovely. The chrysanthemums beginning to flower & the cosmos growing quite high bushes in full flower. The Austrian Consul Mr Zeller & Mlle Giacomelli came to tea & Mr Somers Cocks who is a great friend of Mr Beaumonts. | |
