29 October 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 29th [October 1901]. I have now changed my reception evening from Monday to Tuesday in order to give way to Horatio Brown who will not give way to me—& it is not worth my fighting about as it is evidently the cause of his unpleasant manners to me for some time past—& I prefer peace even to having my own way! So tonight I had a few friends & some music. Lady Radnor sang a duett with Mr Byard & Mr S. Cocks played delightfully on the cello. | |
