30 October 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 30th [October 1901]. High wind & stormy & I did not get out. Shortly after lunch about 3.30 I was sitting modelling in the studio when the wind stopped & there were 2 small shocks of earthquake. The doors rattled & the chandelier in the middle of the room chinked. | |
