5 November 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Tuesday. 5th [November 1901]. Count Angelo Emo came to lunch. He is a friend of Mr Beaumont’s & came from Battaglia near Padua where he now lives with his wife. He is son of the Fanzolo Emos. I took him & Mr Beaumont round antiquity shops. Count Carlo Emo dined with us– His brother having left us– I had my usual weekly reception this evening & some pleasant music. Mr Somers Cocks played his cello most beautifully.
