30 November 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 30th November [1901]. I had rather a headache & so could set to work at nothing & have to lament a wasted day. In fact had to lie down after lunch till dinner. Mr Ambrose Poynter left by 6 P.M. train for Verona & we are all quite sorry he is gone he was so kind & helpful & ready for anything & especially took Emilia Riaño under his wing & took her about with him to see churches &c.
