4 December 1901 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 4th [December 1901]. It was too dark a morning for copying pictures so I wrote letters & modelled a little. After luncheon I went to call on Bss Reinelt intending to offer her a little English gun metal table watch but I found such an assembly of people with her that I had not the courage & carried it away in its little box. I went on to the Piazza & while waiting for an answer to a note I saw Mr Williamson & Mr Byard & called to them to come to lunch tomorrow which they said they would gladly do.
