15 May 1902 — 3 Savile Row
Thursday. 15th [May 1902]. After typing all the morning I went to lunch at Wimborne House; on my way there I went in to John Murrays to enquire how the publication of Henry’s Memoirs is proceeding. It is going on slowly. Ivor & Cornelia were quite alone. We tried to invent monograms for the badges for Cornelia’s Ladies’ League. Mrs Thackeray Ritchie came to tea. I had not seen her for many years & found her very charming tho’ looking frail. The Eliot nieces, Corise Rodney & Dacre Du Cane came also & Mr Arthur Walrond.
