16 June 1902 — Peterborough Minster Precincts, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Monday. 16th [June 1902]. Miss Ingram & her brother Walter, the sculptor, Canon Clayton, Cecil & I went into cathedral in the morning to look into the question of adorning the Bishop’s Throne with red silk hangings as I offer to provide the necessary material– After much discussion no decided opinion was given & I left the idea to future consideration. Monty Alderson came over from Chesterton to luncheon– Kate having a bad cold caught at Maria’s funeral remained indoors all day. The went to Rand the furniture dealer & bought a small old sideboard wh is to serve me as dressing table at 3 Savile Row for £10–
