2 September 1902 — Paris
Tuesday. 2nd [September 1902]. Had a visit from Mr Byard who is living in Paris studying for the Opera Comique where he hopes to sing. Also a long visit from Lady Laura Redding who with her husband the Bishop of Southwell is staying in this hotel– They have just come from Aix les Bains where Sophy Palmer had joined them for ten days & they find her much improved in health. Nela went out for a little shopping in the afternoon. The Reddings dined with us & directly afterwards Nela & I went off to the station to [go] by the train to Lausanne.
