28 January 1903 — 3 Savile Row
Wednesday. 28th [January 1903]. Capt. Wyld came to lunch & I lent him the car to go to the city– I was waiting for the car when Mrs Rate called—driving with Mr R. who is much better. She ordered some bead necklaces of me– I went to see Mrs Forbes whom I had known in our youth. Very pretty gentle & stately & nice. We talked about tame birds of which we both are fond. I came home & found Mary Alderson waiting to have tea with me. Duncannon telephoned to ask if he might come to dine & Nela asked if Louis might come so we were a party of 5.
