27 March 1903 — 3 Savile Row
Friday. 27th [March 1903]. My last day’s sale & took a fair amount of money. In the evening the Val Prinseps dined with me & Señor Rubio & Charles Wyld so that we were 6 at dinner including Nellie & self. Afterward Roche came & brought Rubio’s friend Señor Guetary to sing Basque music to us & we had a delightful musical evening– Two or three people came in but we were mostly “our own little crowd” and Rubio was in very good humour & played his violincello most charmingly. Guetary’s voice is good but his Basque music is very weird & quaint.
