3 April 1903 — En route to Venice | |
Friday. 3rd April [1903]. Then straight on & got to Milan at 3.30. We went to Hotel Cavour & ordered dinner at 5. Then went to Via Darini where we visited Canzi’s fascinating shop of embroidery. Returned to the Cavour, dined at 5 & then went off to the station & left by the 6.30 train for Venice where we arrived at 11.50– The gondola was waiting at the station & took us quickly to Ca’ Capello & we went at once to our beds. | |
