31 October 1903 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 31st [October 1903]. Better but not well & felt very idle & could only string beads all day. The rain & wind continued & there was still a heavy scirocco. Carry Eden came to see me & sat & had a long chat. Mme Bompard came later & then Miss Broadwood who is leaving for Rome– Sr Malagola took Nela in the evening to hear Sr Rossi lecture on declamation. Verona & I spent the evening together.
