18 June 1904 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 18th [June 1904]. Hotter than ever—began to look over the notes of my own early days—thinking perhaps of carrying them on—a melancholy occupation. Mr & Mrs Curtis came to tea with me & also Maria Cozzi– I went out for an hour in gondola took a turn in gondola & home. There was a thunderstorm in eveng which greatly cooled the air. | |
