25 June 1904 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Saturday. 25th [June 1904]. Was better & got up to lunch. Princess Clary came to tea & Prof: Malagola. The latter took the Dss out sightseeing. I stayed at home & wrote & did accounts; but took a turn in gondola with the Dss in the evening after dinner. I finished reading Herbert Spencer’s life lent me by Mr Curtis—a book I delighted in. The most curious & dissecting Biography ever written.
